Quick and Easy Appetizer

This is a simple, but great appetizer. It’s also makes an ideal Saturday sandwich.


  • Mini sweet peppers (1-3 lbs.)
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt
  • Sugar


Wash the pepper and then cut them in half. You can clean the seeds, but we typically leave them in. Add olive oil and salt to taste. Mix. Add sugar, lightly coating the peppers. If you like peppers burnt and caramelized, add more sugar. Bake in the oven at 350 until the peppers are to your liking. We usually bake them until they’re slightly burnt, which is anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes.
